Description |
Brick from Mural painted on Sheriff Clement's building on East Marion Ave. Local artist Fran Hines designed the protraits and scenes of peoople from the local black community involved in the development of Punta Gorda. In August 2004, Hurricane Charley blew through Punta Gorda destroying the building and the mural. The mural was located at 311 East Charlotte Aveneue. It was dedicated November 20, 2003. A new mural on this subject was created and dedicated on November 15, 2007 on the wall of the reconstructed Baker Center School. |
